Thinking of Joining Us?

Here’s some information and answers to common question from new members

You would be very welcome to join us at any of our training sessions, we meet at 18:30 on a Tuesday and Thursday and at 9am on a Sunday.

Tuesday’s is a social run and generally between 3-6 miles and suitable for any ability. No one is ever left behind. Sometimes we run as a whole group, other times we split into two groups and run slightly different distances and/or different paces.

Our Thursday sessions are a structured training session and the location varies depending on the activity. The session caters for all abilities and could include sprints, running to pace, time trials or hill work. A weekly email goes out giving details about this so if you would like to come along, just let us know and we can ensure the information is forwarded on to you.

Sundays are also a social run but has traditionally been an opportunity to run a little further, anything up to 10miles. Currently, however, those of us who attend are more likely to run a steady 3-6 miles at 10-11min/mile.

We have an annual membership fee of £10 with an optional addition of £20 if you would like to be England Athletics affiliated (we can give you more details about this during a run) but please just come along for a few sessions first to see if we are the club for you. All we ask is that you bring some emergency contact details with you in case they are needed, and that during the winter you wear something hi-vis if it’s likely to be a dark evening run.

Please see link below for where we meet:

If you would like to know anything else, please drop us a line.

Hope to see you at one of our runs in the near future.
